Hortense Bourgois is a driven entrepreneur with a passion for both entrepreneurship and yoga. She is the co-founder and CEO of BAYA SAS, an innovative and socially responsible yoga brand that she launched in 2017. Hortense has a diverse set of skills that include sourcing, logistics, development of social media, project management, finance, fundraising, team structuring, customer acquisition strategy, and DNVB strategy. She manages a team of nine and is always looking for new projects. She is also an expert in speaking about entrepreneurship, innovation, engagement, and DNVB-related topics.

Hortense's educational background is impressive. She studied at the University of Stellenbosch, where she earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business. She also completed Classe préparatoire at Grande École de Commerce, where she studied economics, philosophy, history, and mathematics. She earned a Master's degree in Entrepreneurship, Strategy, and Project management at ESCP Europe. In addition, Hortense is also a certified Yoga Teacher with a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification from Earth to Fly Yoga School.

Hortense has worked with several organizations throughout her career. Before founding BAYA, she was the B2B Sales Manager at Kitchen Trotter and the South Africa Coordinator at GROUPE SOS. She was also a Junior Consultant at Ethicity and Ernst & Young. On top of that, she was a Marketing Development employee of L'Oréal and a former member of MakeSense France.

Hortense's journey in entrepreneurship earned her the Lauréat at Réseau Entreprendre Paris and former Community Member at Ignition Program. She has shared her knowledge in several podcasts, including Entrepreneur in Yoga, Génération XX, Livementor, and Superfast. Through her work, she promotes a healthy lifestyle and the importance of entrepreneurship.
