Meet Michael Mayes, a highly acclaimed writer, creative director, and McGill University graduate with over 20 years of experience in the advertising industry. Michael began his career as an advertising writer in Calgary and later moved to Toronto, where he worked with renowned agencies like DDB, MacLaren McCann, and TAXI. His portfolio boasts clients such as Chevy, GMC, Rogers, WestJet, and more, for which he has won several prestigious international awards.

In 2007, Michael became Creative Director of TAXI Vancouver, where he led the office from zero to 25 people and created campaigns for clients such as Telus, Vancouver Aquarium, and Dairy Farmers of Canada. His work has also been recognized internationally at Cannes, The One Show, LIA, New York Festivals, and nationally within Canada. Since 2010, Michael has been freelancing for various agencies while working on his writing projects in his free time.

Michael is a multifaceted writer who has written a children's book, Which Way Back? for BC's Knowledge Network, that became the Number 1 Children's Title on the BC Bestsellers list the following spring. Additionally, he has studied at The Writer's Studio at Simon Fraser University and is a member of the Writers' Union of Canada.
