Lax & Neville founding partner Brian Neville is a highly experienced litigator and arbitrator. He has extensive knowledge of broker-dealer, securities, regulatory, and employment law, and is dedicated to representing a variety of clients, including employees, employers, brokers, investment bankers, traders, public customers, broker-dealers, investment advisors, and hedge funds. Neville spent many years at Josephthal & Co. as in-house counsel. He represented the company and its brokers in a broad range of disputes, including wrongful termination, defamation, breach of contract, promissory notes, and a raiding claim against a major regional brokerage firm. In addition, he represented customers and broker-dealers in disputes relating to sales practices and employment issues. Before joining Josephthal & Co., Neville worked as in-house counsel at Prudential Securities. Today, Neville lends his expertise to FINRA Dispute Resolution as an arbitrator and designated Chairperson. He is admitted to practice law in both New York and New Jersey, as well as the US District Court of New Jersey and all District Courts of New York.
