Rhonda Layfield

Rhonda Layfield is a seasoned IT professional with over three decades of experience in deploying, securing, and optimizing IT resources. Having begun her career in the US Navy, where she worked as a communications specialist with a top-secret clearance, Rhonda later served as a Senior Security Analyst for one of the largest electrical utility companies. She has displayed a knack for discovering serious security flaws in software, ensuring safe deployment of crucial systems.

Rhonda is an NT, 2000 & 2003 MCSE, Six-time Setup and Deployment MVP, Desktop Deployment Product Specialist, and an MCT for almost fifteen years. She has a passion for learning products at the packet level and sharing that knowledge in her classes with clients large and small. Rhonda also presents at international conferences and contributes articles to Windows IT Pro magazine.

Rhonda has worked with several companies, including the U.S. Department of Labor, Department of Transportation, Medicare & Medicaid, International Monetary Fund, City of Kansas City, Oregon State Department of Human Services, Lockheed Martin, and United Launch Alliance. Her experience at each entity, that presented unique deployment challenges, has given her a unique perspective on real-world scenarios. Rhonda specializes in setting up the entire deployment solution from start to finish, troubleshooting, and customizing each deployment solution.
