Keep PBS In Orlando was a campaign started by myself, and Ali A. Kurnaz, to preserve the existence of a flagship PBS station in Orlando, FL. We worked through different forms of media to launch a letter writing campaign to the FCC, which stalled the transition of our local PBS station into a religious station. From that point forward, we worked with UCF to rally students behind the creation of Orlando's new PBS station, WUCF TV. Keep PBS In Orlando and the work of UCF brought national attention.

As a Caucus Representative, it is my job to work on-campus and off-campus to promote pro-women intitiatives and advocate for gender equality. The Women's Caucus also publishes a monthly newsletter; it is my responsibility to write at least one article for every issue. My column is titled: "Think Globally, Act Locally."

I have been an officer in this organization for two years now. First I served as Treasurer, and now Vice-President. With the help of my fellow officers, the Iranian Student Organization (ISO) at UCF has become a progressive voice on campus. We bring Iranian history and culture to UCF, while simultaneously bringing attention to the issue of human rights within the world.
