Tom Taft is a seasoned executive with over twenty years of experience in high technology sales and marketing, and 15 years of senior-level work in the executive search business. He is currently the Co-Founder & Managing Partner of the Laurel Group and previously served in the same role at Urgenci. Tom has a wealth of experience working with established public companies and early-stage technology startups, encompassing software, hardware, and services-oriented ventures.

Prior to co-founding the Laurel Group, Tom was with Heidrick & Struggles, where he was recruited to establish the Seattle office. During his tenure, he conducted executive searches for CEOs, VPs, Board of Directors, and other key executives for emerging growth and publicly traded technology companies, focusing on the software and communications sectors. Before that, Tom was a Partner with the Huntington Group, an executive search firm based in Trumbull, Connecticut. He also spent three years with a publicly traded software consulting and search firm based in San Francisco, where he worked with technology clients nationwide as an Executive Recruiter in the IT practice.

Tom has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Advertising from San Jose State University. He specializes in senior-level executive search with companies ranging from software & services (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), networking & communications, and consumer service/product companies.
