Patrick Byrne

Patrick Byrne, MD, MBA, is a highly accomplished facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon with extensive experience in clinical settings and healthcare management. Dr. Byrne is known for his expertise in microsurgical facial reconstruction, cancer reconstruction, treatment of facial paralysis, rhinoplasties, facelifts, and injectable fillers. He is the medical director of the Johns Hopkins Ambulatory Surgery Center at Greenspring Station, a 33,000 ft2 facility serving 15 different specialties. As the director of the Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Dr. Byrne leads a team of experts in providing cutting-edge treatments for patients with complex facial conditions.

Dr. Byrne has also held leadership roles in the private sector, serving as the chief medical officer of Aegeria Soft Tissue LLC, a Johns Hopkins spin-off, and the CEO of BD Healthcare Ventures, LLC, a healthcare management consulting firm. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he leverages his business acumen and healthcare expertise to drive innovation and efficiency in healthcare delivery.

Throughout his career, Dr. Byrne has been dedicated to advancing healthcare worldwide. He has served as the medical director of Johns Hopkins Medicine International, working with affiliated medical centers to achieve accreditation by the Joint Commission International. He is also a board member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and a former editorial board member of the JAMA Network.
