Katie Straight is a seasoned international development and communication professional with a broad range of experience spanning various sectors, including education, public health, environment, and economic development. Her focus revolves around empowering marginalized communities, increasing access to education and employment, and promoting economic development. She holds a degree in International Education Policy from Harvard University Graduate School of Education and a BA in History from the University of Virginia.
Throughout her career, Katie has held a variety of roles, including Lecturer at the University of Virginia Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy, Consultant at CIMA Consulting, Director of Content and International Partnerships at Jobs for Life, and HOPE Liaison, Caribbean Region at HOPE International. She has also worked as a Human Rights Education Intern at Teachers Without Borders and served as the Development Specialist at Piedmont Environmental Council.
