As Operations Consultant within Degremont’s Indian business, selected to redesign the process to ensure compatibility with the Indian business model. Analysed existing process; engaged with key project stakeholders; identified potential integration and operational issues; and produced detailed project control manual. Successfully re-engineered the process to address India’s unique operational issues and deliver superior project governance.

Summer Trainee - Consultant

Degremont won the contract to build a €22.5 million sewerage treatment plant in Delhi. As Assistant Project Manager, selected to execute project strategy. Formulated execution plan; performed risk analysis; negotiated contracts; maintained contract schedule; monitored billing and invoice process; analysed cost; developed financial models; acted as key point of contact for contract-related issues (engineering, procurement, quality control, finance & legal); and finalised orders for imported machinery. Successfully drafted and executed a project strategy that reduced civil works costs by €1.5m and optimised the usage of pipelines reducing the mechanical costs by €0.3m.

Asst Project Manager

Degremont were engaged by Chennai Metro to construct and maintain a 530 MLD water treatment plant in Chennai, India. As Project Engineer, selected to plan and execute the civil and mechanical works workstream. Led a team of 33 Technicians; commissioned water treatment processes including mechanical equipment; conducted negotiations with material suppliers; and optimised fire fighting pipelines by redesigning existing engineering drawings. Completed all process related tests prior to the successful hand over of the project.

Project Engineer

As part of Degremont’s Graduate Trainee Programme, selected to perform the role of Process Engineer for a 662 MLD water treatment plant construction. Self-taught SCADA water treatment software to commission water treatment process; led a team of 50 Technicians; took responsibility for maintenance, projects, inventory and infrastructure; and stabilised the water treatment process. Delivered a business-critical project on time which was successful in providing high quality drinking water to the local population.

Graduate Engineer Trainee

As Junior Corporate Officer for Clarity infocom – an associate of Airtel Ltd, was involved in selling top-up card for the college students and teachers. Performed market studies, suggested and implemented a model for popularising Airtel’s product among students and staffs, on a large scale and in an organised manner and was also involved in preparing monthly sales targets for our campus. Successfully achieved and exceeded the targets for all the 12 months and increased the gross profit by 2% for that financial year.
