Janet Handal is a seasoned business and technology professional with a specialty in high-growth, high-change technology environments. With over 20 years of experience working with venture-backed early-stage companies and large complex organizations, she has a deep foundation in strategic partnership management, financial services, technology project management and digital marketing. Janet holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Columbia University.

Janet's professional experiences include serving as the President and Owner of Handal Associates, directing the Census project for the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation, Chief Operating Officer at Parentgiving Inc., Technical Project Management at NPower NY, Technology Project Manager at JPMorgan Chase & Co., President & Founder of ec-Finance Inc. (venture-backed fintech company), and VP of Strategic Partnerships & Technology Project Manager at FundsXpress Inc. (acquired by First Data Corporation). Additionally, Janet chaired the Task Force on Information Technology at The White House and served as Manager of Technology Diffusion Projects at DARPA as a contractor.

Janet also uses her skills and expertise to serve on the Tech Advisory Board of the New York Foundling, lead the Women Directors’ Initiative for 2020 Women on Boards, and head the Technology Committee of the Financial Women’s Association. She has a passion for working with early-stage companies as they shape and grow their businesses.
