John Troy
John Troy is a results-driven social entrepreneur with leadership experience in corporate, non-profit, and religious sectors. He founded WorkMonger, a profile-driven job-matching service that connects talented people with the right role and organization in the PK-12 education sector. WorkMonger focuses on non-classroom roles such as finance, operations, data analysis, curriculum design, and strategy. He studied at both Duke University's The Fuqua School of Business and Texas A&M University, where he earned degrees in business administration with a focus on social entrepreneurship and finance. Prior to founding WorkMonger, John held a variety of leadership positions including Executive Director of the Southern Region for Education Pioneers as well as Managing Director for the DC Metro Area, Education Pioneer Summer Fellow at Achievement First, President of Church Leader Insights, among others. Additionally, John volunteered at South American Orphanages and was the Director of Community Service and Finance/Stewardship at The Journey Christian Church. Through his roles, John has honed in on a variety of specialties such as social entrepreneurship, human capital, non-profit management, fundraising, finance, strategy, and operations.
