Dr. Heida Maria Sigurdardottir is a renowned cognitive neuroscientist who specializes in visual cognition, visual attention, plasticity, and learning. She has a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Brown University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Iceland. Currently, she is an Associate Professor at the University of Iceland where she conducts research in her field of expertise. Her research focuses on understanding the complex processes of visual perception, including object and face perception. Additionally, Dr. Sigurdardottir is passionate about science communication, which she finds a big part of her work. She is a former postdoctoral researcher and research methodologist at the University of Iceland and a former research associate in Neuroscience at Brown University. Besides, she has lectured, taught, and worked with students and research associates at various educational institutions like Hamrahlid College, Reykjavik Municipal Work School, Icelandic Web of Science, and the University of Iceland.
