Heather Hassel-Finnegan
Heather Hassel-Finnegan has an impressive background, holding various leadership roles in the nonprofit sector and environmental sustainability. She earned a Master's degree in Anthropological Sciences from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Anthropology from Juniata College. Heather has since expanded her expertise through various certifications, including NCI Charettes & Design Thinking from Harvard University Graduate School of Design and Sustainability Professional Certificate from International Society of Sustainability Professionals.
Heather first began her career as a Graduate Researcher in Anthropological Sciences at Stony Brook University before transitioning to the nonprofit sector as a Biology Instructor and Laboratory Coordinator at Swarthmore College. Later, she worked as a Sustainability Specialist at Stericycle and Contributing Writer - Sustainability at PowerHouse Growers. Heather then took on various roles at Sightlines, a Gordian company, starting as an Account Manager/Project Lead and later becoming a Product Manager - Sustainability & Space Utilization.
Most recently, Heather has served as Executive Director (CEO) at The Community's Foundation (TCF) and was previously Executive Director (CEO) at Delaware County Community Foundation, a program of TCF. In both positions, Heather has demonstrated a strong commitment to community development and philanthropy.
