Andy Mattes is a seasoned CEO and business executive with over 30 years of global industry experience in technology companies. Prior to his current role as CEO of Coherent, Inc., a leading laser solutions provider, Mattes worked at McKinsey Transformation as a Senior Advisor, where he helped position companies for growth and led high-impact transformations. He also served as the President and CEO of Diebold Nixdorf, a multinational financial and retail technology company, and made it the largest ATM provider globally by focusing on services and software. Mattes began his professional career at Siemens AG, where he spent over two decades and held various executive leadership positions. As a US-German national, he has also served on the board of several private and public technology companies. Mattes studied Dipl Kfm, Management Science at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München.
