Alana Harrington

Alana Harrington is the leader of the Office of the Vice President of Student Life at the University of San Francisco, focusing on creating inclusive and efficient workplace environments.

With two decades of experience in administration and workplace management, Alana has a background that includes roles in various organizations and educational achievements from institutions like Harvard Business School and UC Berkeley Extension.

Alana is known for her process-focused approach, promoting cross-collaboration, open thought partnerships, psychological safety, and consistent communication practices in workspaces while centering equity, belonging, and inclusion.

She is intentional about addressing issues of whiteness and dismantling white supremacy culture in spaces of power and privilege.

Alana's education encompasses a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, certificates from Harvard Business School HBX, and studies in negotiation mastery, effective leadership, and essential business communication.

Throughout her career, she has served in various roles such as Assistant to the Vice President at the University of San Francisco, Office Manager at Learning for Action, Executive Office Manager at Joyus, Inc., and Operations Director at Hand in Hand Parenting, among others.
