Anna Spencer is a well-respected lawyer who specializes in data privacy and security with a focus on health information. With over 20 years of experience in regulatory health care, Anna has worked on identifying, quantifying, and mitigating risks associated with health data practices since the first federal rules were proposed in 1999. Anna is a partner at DLA Piper and is regularly called upon to handle health care data breaches, develop global data protection programs, and assist health information technology companies navigate privacy and security issues. She received her JD from Vanderbilt University Law School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Sewanee-The University of the South.
