Neil Lessem is an accomplished economist with vast experience in consulting for utilities, policymakers, and technology firms worldwide. Holding a Ph.D. and M.A. in economics from the University of California – Los Angeles and a B.Bus.Sc in economics and history, from the University of Cape Town with top honors, Neil is a quantitative thinker and creative problem solver. His expertise lies in rate design, energy policy, innovative pricing, experimental design, technology adoption, and policy impact measurement. He has been a lecturer and researcher at UCLA, where he shared his knowledge and supported students' growth. Neil is currently the Principal at Econalytics, a position he earned after working with The Lantau Group and holding senior economist positions at The Brattle Group. During his sabbatical, Neil traveled the world, gaining unique insight and widening his horizons.
