Michael Wiemeyer is a highly skilled and experienced designer and teacher based in New York and Brooklyn. With a degree in Graphic Design and Visual Communications from Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences, Michael has worked with various prestigious organizations such as Yale University, Columbia University, Women Deliver, Natural Resource Governance Institute, and many others. He is the Principal and Creative Director of Designlounge, a design firm in Brooklyn, where he works closely with clients to understand their brand and project objectives to increase visibility through smart communication. Michael's specialties include Identity Design, Corporate Identity, Naming, Website Architecture Development and Website Design, Annual Reports, Brochures and Marketing Collateral, Publications, Newsletters (digital/print), and Invitation Systems.
Aside from his work at Designlounge, Michael is also an Adjunct Professor at Parsons The New School for Design, where he has taught Identity Design, Web Design, and Fundamentals of Typography. Before starting his career in design, Michael completed a 3-year vocational training program as an industrial manager in Germany.
With a deep understanding of design, Michael constantly keeps an open mind while seeking design solutions for his clients. His creative thinking ability is balanced with his excellent communication and collaboration skills, which helps him to work seamlessly with his clients, understand their needs, and produce amazing results.
