Steve Cooley is a highly accomplished legal professional and business consultant based in Los Angeles. With a thriving boutique consultancy firm, Steve Cooley & Associates, Inc., and several high-ranking positions in government and corporate organizations, Cooley has amassed an impressive record of success over the years.

Cooley started as a law clerk in 1973 and worked his way up the ranks in the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office, gaining a wealth of criminal trial experience before being elected as the first District Attorney to hold three consecutive terms in over 70 years. During his tenure, he led the largest local prosecutorial agency in the country, with approximately 1000 attorneys, 300 peace officers, and 600 support staff.

Some of his policy and justice system highlights include revising the LA DA Three Strikes policy, establishing new divisions to tackle public and justice system corruption, and advancing the use of forensic sciences and DNA locally and statewide. Cooley also successfully brought to justice several violent criminals who fled across international borders.
