Reza Daniels
Reza Daniels is an accomplished academic and experienced businessperson based in Cape Town, South Africa. He holds a PhD in economics from the University of Cape Town and has studied at renowned institutions such as the University of Michigan and the University of Auckland. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the School of Economics at the University of Cape Town, where he teaches and conducts research on a range of topics related to development economics and labor markets.
Prior to his academic career, Daniels held senior management positions in various companies, including Imvelo Rubber Products and Kusaga Taka Consulting, where he gained valuable experience in business strategy and operations. He also founded the All Out Dance Foundation, a non-profit organization that promotes dance education, and has served on the board of the Recycling and Economic Development Initiative of South Africa.
Daniels' expertise and research interests include labor market dynamics, poverty and inequality, education and skill development, and microeconomic analysis, among other topics. He has published numerous articles in leading academic journals and has been involved in several high-profile research projects, including the National Income Dynamics Study and the Micro Economic Development Strategy Oversight Committee.
