Janani Venkatraman is a highly accomplished scientist, entrepreneur, and consultant with extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. She holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics from the Indian Institute of Science and has worked as a researcher at top-tier institutions such as Yale University and AstraZeneca R&D.

Janani is the Founder Director at Biomoneta Research, a startup that focuses on developing affordable and accessible healthcare solutions for infectious diseases. She is also the former Co-founder of Bugworks Research Inc., a biotech company that developed novel antibiotics for drug-resistant bacteria. In addition, Janani has worked as a consultant at Cellworks Research India Pvt Ltd, where she provided strategic and project management support for anti-infective drug discovery programs.

Throughout her career, Janani has gained expertise in various aspects of drug discovery and development, including target identification, lead optimization, preclinical and clinical development, and commercialization. Her research interests include microbial genomics, structural biology, and biophysical characterization of protein-ligand interactions.
