Bo Tan, also known as Rambo, has an impressive background in the field of technology. Bo currently manages Engineering and Data Science teams at DiDi Labs, the US branch of China's top ridesharing company. He is also leading an innovative startup effort to build an all-new "DiDi News" product utilizing techniques such as recommendation systems and Natural Language Processing (NLP). Before joining DiDi, Bo was part of Uber's growth team and worked across two areas: Growth (product engineering) and Marketplace (machine learning, algorithm engineering). He spent 3.5 years at Uber during its pre-IPO days. Bo's previous experience includes research work in Vehicular network (V2X) technologies at Qualcomm Research and pursuing a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Bo's publication history includes four journal papers and eight conference papers published in top-tier venues, resulting in over 650 citations to date, and has filed 22 US patents.
