Vincent van Haaff, also known as flyingoctopus, is a versatile media artist, software developer, and creative technologist hailing from Southern California. Having started as a record label co-founder and audio hacker in L.A., Vincent went on to pursue his passion for environmental activism in Santa Barbara before settling in Vancouver to advance his career in digital design, software development, and media arts.

With vast experience across several industries, including agriculture, biometrics, and entertainment, Vincent's expertise lies in computational aesthetics, user-centered design, data visualization, and analytics. He is also proficient in computer vision, DevOps automation, and quality assurance engineering.

Vincent has worked with several organizations, notably FarmLink Marketing Solutions, ProShop ERP, Fluency, Xeraflop Tech, and Vancouver Airport Authority. He has also offered consultancy services to Misty West, David Suzuki Foundation, and Coverall Crew Corporation. In his spare time, Vincent has volunteered as a sponsorship coordinator for the Maker Foundation and as a data evangelist at the David Suzuki Foundation.

Vincent holds a post-grad diploma in Digital Design from Vancouver Film School, Canada, where he honed his skills in interactive and user experience design. He is a problem solver with excellent interpersonal skills, always willing to take on exciting challenges in digital media and technology.
