Melissa Boswell
Melissa Boswell is a fifth-year Bioengineering Ph.D. candidate at Stanford University with expertise in biomechanics, psychology, and computer science. Her research focuses on understanding how humans move and think about movement, as well as ways to improve monitoring and movement through wearable technologies. She is also a co-host of the podcast Biomechanics On Our Minds and enjoys science communication. Boswell has an impressive educational background, having earned a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Akron, as well as a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioengineering from Stanford University. She has also held various positions, such as Consultant at Kaia Health, Researcher at the Blast Impact and Survivability Research Unit at the University of Cape Town, and Biomedical Engineer Intern at Wake Forest University. Other past experiences include time as a Crash Safety CAE Evaluation Engineer and an NSF I-Corps Program participant. As a committed and creative researcher, Boswell continues to seek new learning opportunities and connections with others.
