Martin Stroke is an accomplished blockchain strategist and executive leader, boasting extensive expertise in decentralized technologies, governance, and cryptocurrencies. A graduate from the University of Oxford, where he pursued the Blockchain Strategy Program, he also obtained an Executive Leadership Program certification from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in BS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
At present, Stroke is the founder of Metropolis Governance, a blockchain-based decentralized autonomous organization focused on improving voting structures, empowering communities, and informing governance systems. Earlier, he was an advisor for notable organizations, including Edge Assets, SWARM, and Blue Frontiers. He also served as the Managing Director of Cryptonite, a cryptocurrency consultancy firm.
Furthermore, Stroke has been actively involved in several community outreach efforts, including acting as an organizer for Decentralized SF, the Blockchain Protocol Group, and the Founder World, where he also served as the creator and producer. He was also a co-founder of F50 and a meetup organizer at Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs.
Stroke has a multifaceted background, including leadership roles in organizations such as China Consulting Co. and Xian International Business Forum. He also held positions ranging from Marketing & Sales Manager to founding team member at China Grooves.
Before venturing into the blockchain space, Stroke served as a city clerk for the City of Chicago, honing his skills in local governance and administration.
