Larissa May is a multifaceted healthcare professional with a solid background in public health microbiology and emerging infectious diseases. She studied at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and later completed her Master of Science in Clinical and Translational Research, where she specialized in Antibiotic Stewardship, Rapid Diagnostic Testing, Quality Improvement, and Population Health.

Larissa May has held various positions, including Director of Learning Health System Hub at UC Davis Health, Antibiotic Stewardship Lead at Veterans Affairs Northern California Healthcare System, and Professor at University of California, Davis Department of Emergency Medicine. With her training and experience in emergency preparedness, infectious disease epidemiology, and syndromic surveillance, she served as Interim Health Officer at County of Yolo.
