She acquired a BA in Social Psychology from Park University, followed by a master's and Ph.D. in Organizational/Industrial Psychology from Walden University. Before establishing herself as a motivational speaker, Murray worked as an industrial psychologist and a training analyst/instructional designer for Serco. Additionally, she served as a corporate trainer and facilitator at her self-founded Pennie Murray, LLC.
