James Cleverly is a British Conservative Member of Parliament for the Braintree Constituency in Essex. He is also a former small business owner and Reserve Forces Officer in the British Army. With experience in strategy, leadership, and risk management, he has worked in various capacities within the London Fire & Emergency Planning Authority, the London Waste & Recycling Board, the London Development Agency, and the Greater London Authority. Before entering politics, Cleverly worked as co-founder and commercial director of Point & Fire Media Ltd, online commercial manager at Caspian Publishing Ltd, advertising manager at Crimson Business, international sales manager at Informa Group PLC, sales development manager at VNU Business Publications, and as a Sales Executive at Dominion Press. He attended Colfe's School and earned a BA from Thames Valley University.
