Avi Dutt is a highly experienced logistics, infrastructure, and trade expert with over ten years of industry experience. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, and a Bachelor of Technology in Aeronautical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi.

Dutt has extensive expertise in manufacturing, ports, bulk logistics, international trade, urban mobility, agri-logistics, and supply chain management. Additionally, he has experience working with early-stage startups and seed investing in innovative initiatives.

Currently heading the Centre for Transportation & Logistics at the Centre for Transportation and Logistics, IIMA, Dutt is responsible for its development, management, and growth. The centre addresses critical transportation and logistics issues in India through an integrated, multidisciplinary program of research, postgraduate and executive education, technology transfer, and policy advice.

Prior to this, Dutt worked as Assistant Director at the Ministry of Shipping at MbPT, JNPT where he was responsible for the strategy and implementation of Sagarmala project. He also served as a senior manager and management trainee at Tata Steel, where he focused on supply chain transformation and in-bound raw materials.
