My work at the Water Reclamation District is focused mostly on public outreach and community communication. The District is in the middle of a 13 mile construction pipeline, which is being laid through business corridors and residential areas. On a daily basis, my duties include creating travel advisories, updating our website on the work, and going door to door to homes and businesses to explain the work and and answer any questions. I also work on designing other outreach materials.

Over the course of my time spent with the Chicago Blackhawks I was able to assist during Prospect Camp and the 7th Annual Blackhawks Fan Convention while working primarily with the New Media Department. During Prospect Camp, I was tasked with writing two feature stories and one scrimmage recap that appeared on the team website. During the fan convention, I was tasked with recapping the different panels and noting events that would make good featured videos on the website. I also assisted with ticket sales for the annual Chicago Blackhawks Training Camp.

As the Sports Director at KRUI, it is my responsibility to oversee the day to day operations of the sports department. This includes creating the weekly programming schedule, coordinating broadcasts of football and basketball games with the Programming Director and the Sports Information Directors, and creating the monthly writing schedule. I have also covered football and basketball games in terms of writing recaps for our website.

This position was implemented to help the Resident Assistants plan events for the floor that they are in charge of since the University of Iowa switched to all the dorms to Living Learning Communities. Being the programmer for the Journalism and Mass Communication community, I focused on events that helped the students gain internships, help their position within the School of Journalism and Mass Communications, and meet with professionals from within the different fields of interest.

During my time with the Big Ten Student U, my responsibilities have included doing play-by-play and broadcasting for Women's Basketball, Baseball, Field Hockey and Soccer, running flybox, operating game camera, and monitoring audio. Along with the in-game responsibilities, our team was in charge of setting up and tearing down all the equipment needed for the broadcast.
