Corin Mitchell is a seasoned professional with over 24 years of experience in the promotion of growth, investment, and inclusive business models in sub-Saharan Africa and Asia Pacific.

His expertise lies in engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders from impact investors to multi-national corporations, development agencies, family offices, foundations, and SMEs.

Corin has been instrumental in developing innovative funds with blended finance models, working closely with both public and private investors as well as Impact Investors.

Throughout his career, Corin has held various leadership roles such as Director of Adam Smith International (ASI) and ASI Australia, focusing on the Asia Pacific region.

He has managed and contributed to numerous impactful projects including DFAT's Roads for Development (R4D2) in Vanuatu, TOMAK in Timor-Leste, and various initiatives in countries like Mongolia, Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Malawi, and the DRC.

Prior to his current roles, Corin served as a Director at KPMG Development Advisory Services, overseeing projects across sub-Saharan Africa and managing funds like the AECF and Fund for Rural Prosperity.

He is recognized as a thought leader in development finance organizations for his expertise in the market systems approach to funding and finance.

Corin's academic background includes a B.Sc. Honours in Economics, Accounting, and Finance from the London School of Economics, a Masters in Development Finance from the University of Stellenbosch, and participation in the Impact Investing Programme at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

He is also a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
