Matthew Austin is a data and analytics veteran who has held leadership positions at various reputable organizations. He began his journey by studying event management at Bournemouth University and proceeded to City of Portsmouth Boys School. As a Sales Director at Gartner, he aided CIOs, CMOs, and other key executives in unlocking their businesses' full potential. His industry insights and analytics acumen have earned him global recognition. Matthew has helped IT leaders leverage business intelligence, big data, advanced analytics, data governance, data stewardship, data quality, data preparation, Hadoop, Spark, and data science to deliver results. He has extensive knowledge of EIM, MDM, data warehousing, Big Data Strategy, and IT events and conferences.

Before joining Gartner, he was a Global Account Manager at the same organization, where he assisted clients with vendor selection, evaluation, and engagement. Prior to that, he was a Sponsorship Sales Executive, Events at UBM Built Environment, where he honed his marketing skills. Luminar PLC appointed Matthew as their Event Manager before moving to Black Diamond Events as the City Manager.
