Grant began his digital career in Mxit, a tech startup that offers mobile instant messaging services. Under his leadership, Mxit reached over 88 million users before being acquired. Grant's passion for mentoring is highlighted by his involvement with Techstars, where he helped guide and mentor emerging tech startups. His expertise has been called upon by the likes of the British Medical Association, Imperial College London, and Macmillan Cancer Support.

Grant Cleveland is a Bachelor of Commerce in Management graduate from the University of South Africa/Universiteit Van Suid - Afrika. He is a fellow at The Royal Society of Arts, and his interest lies in early-stage tech companies with an aim to create a positive impact on the world.
