Dharm Makwana is an experienced Audio/Visual Editor for The Province and Vancouver Sun newspapers owned by Postmedia Network Inc. He studied journalism at Centennial College after receiving the John Lott Scholarship for outstanding journalism. Although he majored in political science at Wilfrid Laurier University, Dharm discovered his passion for multimedia storytelling early in his career. He joined The Province in 2011 as a web editor with a specialty in video. He later moved on to lead the newspaper's Entertainment department before taking over the role of Audio/Visual Editor when The Province and Vancouver Sun newsrooms merged. In his current role, he manages a staff of seven photographers and videographers and produces several podcasts. Dharm has a wide range of proficiencies, including the use of Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, and various content management systems.
