Abe Hughes is a highly accomplished leader with over 20 years of experience in driving strategic growth and turnarounds in global companies, including POET LLC, Fiat Group, and New Holland Agriculture and Construction. He is currently the General Manager of Trimble Inc.'s Agriculture business, where he is spearheading a long-term strategic growth plan for Precision Agriculture worldwide.

Hughes' focus in the past decade has been on providing insightful and impactful strategic recommendations for growing a business domestically and internationally through strong general management, strategic partnerships, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, and other growth opportunities. He has been a key figure in POET's global expansion into bio-based chemicals, as well as its entry into new markets, including Africa and Haiti, where he introduced ethanol stoves.

Previously, as the Vice President of North America at New Holland Agriculture and Construction, Hughes doubled revenues in just five years, returned the division to profitability and the profit leadership worldwide, and oversaw an organizational transformation necessary for success both internally and externally, including a network of over 1000 dealers.

Education-wise, Hughes has an MBA in General Management from Harvard Business School, a BA in History from Cornell University, and has studied at Purdue University's Midwest Food and Agribusiness Seminar.

Outside of work, Hughes is a civic leader with memberships on the board for organizations such as the Growth Energy, Advocate Health Care, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Harvard Business School Board of Directors.
