John-Michael Parker is a versatile personality who has made a significant impact in the educational, non-profit, and artistic spheres. With a background in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from Yale University, Parker began his career as a Dream Director, where he inspired high school students to pursue their dreams and develop skills for making change. He then went on to join the leadership team of The Future Project, one of the nation's fastest-growing non-profits. Serving as the Vice President of Development, Parker's work was instrumental in the organization's growth.

In 2018, Parker contested for State Representative in his hometown of Madison, CT, and came up just 18 votes short against a popular, long-time incumbent. Currently, he is making meaningful contributions to his community in various volunteer and board positions for educational and artistic organizations. Additionally, his alma mater, Yale University, has brought him back to work where he is now in the Admissions Office.

As the Executive Director of Arts for Learning Connecticut, Parker brings his commitment and expertise to the advancement of art education in the state. Besides, his experience as a Frontman & Bandleader at Great Caesar has given him a unique perspective on creativity and the performing arts. He values education, creativity, and social change, and his skills as a former National Dream Director and Grade 4 & Grade 8 Science Teacher make him a highly skilled and empathetic facilitator in shaping the future of our society.
