Beth Thompson is a seasoned professional with a background in science and policy, championing improved policies for research and fostering a better research culture. With a strong leadership track-record, she heads a team of experts at Wellcome, focusing on influencing various aspects of the research system such as Brexit, research funding, emerging technology regulations, and research culture. Beth's educational journey includes a PhD from the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology and a BA/MSci in Natural Sciences (Biochemistry) from the University of Cambridge. Her diverse career spans roles at Wellcome Trust, The Academy of Medical Sciences, Royal Society of Chemistry, and the University of Cambridge.
