Since 2017, Godel has been leading the national project for a single platform for Government-to-Business transactions, EasyGov.swiss. In 2020, he was responsible for the implementation of the Federal Covid-19-Liquidity program, which provided more than 137,000 companies with 17 billion Swiss Franc within a few weeks. Godel's expertise is highly valued internationally, having been a member (and later Vice-President) of the OECD Committee on Industry, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) from 2010 until 2021. Since 2021, he has been chairing the OECD Committee on SME's and Entrepreneurship (CSMEE) after chairing its predecessor, the OECD Working Group on SMEs and Entrepreneurship. He is currently the Deputy Head of the Promotion Activities Directorate in SECO, where he oversees Regional Policy, Tourism Policy, Foreign Economic Promotion Policy, and SME Policy.
