- Responsible for the profit and loss of a 28 state ~$400 million DWP homeowners business•	Lead team of 30 professional product managers, underwriting managers, actuaries, data managers, and rate & form filing analysts. •	Product update blitz, - implemented updated underwriting guidelines and rates in all states in first 90 days to enhance the ease of doing business for agents, to improve rate competitiveness, and to increase homeowners profitability.•	New product launch – lead homeowners product management effort to launch new quote and issue platform within 12 month timeline.  Developed new product framework, implemented additional 3rd party data and updated credit models for data prefill/automated risk analysis, and refined segmentation by adding highly predictive new variables for pricing & risk selection.•	Piloted Smart Home product offering with several Smart Home device providers and implemented new Smart Home product offering in 5 states.

VP Homeowners Product Management

- Lead global team of 150 professional actuaries, statisticians, data managers, and analysts. •	Served on Actuarial Leadership Team collaborating with colleagues from around the globe on governance, best practices, strategic direction, talent management, and operational strategies. •	Responsible for the rate adequacy and effectiveness of all pricing for consumer personal insurance products (~$13 billion GWP) including pricing, predictive modeling, rating, tool development & maintenance, rate filing support, and portfolio analysis.•	Lead four global product pricing teams, a global data team, and a Shanghai analytics center team who all provide in depth pricing analysis, pricing segmentation analysis, renewal retention analysis, policyholder lifetime value evaluation, account & fleet pricing support, and rate maintenance reviews;•	Increased efficiency in data delivery with creation of a Data Preparation and Analysis team in partnership with corporate data initiatives freeing up actuarial resources to focus on actuarial analysis to speed up analysis and lower costs.•	Lead a working group designing the consumer pricing philosophy for all consumer products including life and non-life insurance as well as retirement products.•	Improved the global pricing tool landscape and quality of pricing estimates with the implementation of standardized global tools for all products.

Chief Portfolio Actuary, Personal Insurance

- Led team of 70 professional risk managers, underwriters, actuaries, statisticians, investment modelers, project managers, and analysts.  •	Managed risks of $1 billion GWP Mortgage Insurance book in position whose charter included Underwriting Guidelines, Pricing, Reserving, Catastrophe Modeling, Underwriting Modeling, Underwriting Quality Assurance, Portfolio Management, and Policy Administration;•	Served on AIG United Guaranty operating committee responsible for all company operating decisions •	Participated in quarterly Board of Directors and audit committee meetings of the Board.•	Represented company in high profile reviews with - Rating Agencies, State Insurance Regulators, Auditors, and the Federal Reserve as well as with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac who ultimately own virtually all loans with mortgage guaranty insurance in the U.S. •	Implemented enhanced underwriting process employing advanced models and additional third party data in automation of formerly manual underwriting processes that increased underwriting capacity and the consistency of underwriting decisions while delivering a significant cost savings versus legacy underwriting process. •	Led company initiative to develop and issue mortgage catastrophe bonds with team comprised of members from multiple functional areas from across AIG including from investments, capital markets, legal, and the reinsurance placement functional areas.  Project involved:•	Analysis of hedging effectiveness on various possible structures using models built in-house to predict mortgage defaults and prepayments  •	Several investment bank meetings on various possible proposals for mortgage credit risk catastrophe bond underwriting and placement.  •	Presentation of the recommendations to AIG CEO including the proposed investment bank selection, the proposed cost of the structure, the potential benefits of proposed structure, and a summary of the alternative structures considered.

Chief Risk Officer

- Led actuarial department and provided actuarial guidance to senior management•	Served as Appointed Actuary for all domestic insurance companies.  Completed and signed actuarial reserve opinions as well as annual actuarial reserve adequacy report to the board•	Developed and implemented the first true risk based pricing product in the mortgage insurance industry which lead to a first place market share position for the first time in the 50 year history of United Guaranty while achieving strong underwriting results.
