Daniela Couto

Dr. Daniela Couto is a seasoned Biomedical Engineer with a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), specializing in Bioengineering Systems, holding over a decade of experience in the realm of venture capital and the establishment of early-stage biotechnology firms.

During her notable career, Dr. Couto played pivotal roles in various organizations, including serving as a Partner at BGV (BioGeneration Ventures) and holding board positions at companies like Citryll and Mironid® Limited. She has also been associated with renowned entities such as Staten Biotechnology B.V., where she served as the Managing Director.

Her academic journey includes pursuing a Ph.D. in Bioengineering Systems as part of the MIT-Portugal Program at Instituto Superior Técnico, along with a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Universidade do Minho.
