Jason Steinhauer is a prominent historian and author, specializing in history communication and media literacy. He is the best-selling author of "History, Disrupted: How Social Media and the World Wide Web Have Changed the Past," and a Global Fellow at The Wilson Center. Steinhauer is also the founder of the History Club on Clubhouse, with over 100,000 members, and the History Communication Institute.
He is a former Senior Fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute and the Founding Director of the Lepage Center for History in the Public Interest at Villanova University. He has also worked as a Visiting Fellow at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and Manager of Strategic Communications and Public Programs at The John W. Kluge Center at Library of Congress.
Steinhauer is an advocate for creating an informed and historically literate society, having coined the term "History Communicators" and founded the field of History Communication. He has traveled overseas twice with the U.S. Department of State as part of diplomatic exchanges between the United States and the European Union.
With a B.A. in American Studies from The George Washington University and a Masters in History and Archival Management from New York University, Jason Steinhauer boasts an impressive educational background.
