Tomoo Yazaki is a distinguished senior assistant with over 30 years of professional experience in computer and telecommunication systems development. He has garnered expertise in election reporting systems for newspapers and broadcasting, newspaper layout and ripping systems, web and mail news service systems, newspaper readers club systems, and more. His comprehensive grasp of various computer architectures, microchips, and servers sets him apart in the industry. Having worked as a company staff member for three years, Tomoo has developed leading IT strategies for several companies.
At The Asahi Shimbun, Tomoo held leadership positions such as Chair of Information Technology Committee, Vice-chair of Information Technology Committee, Chief Engineer of Systems & Production Division, IT Director, Digital Media Division, among others. In April 2014, Tomoo joined Media Lab as an Associate Director leading the team responsible for Customer Information Systems and Marketing systems. In his current position, he spearheads the development of future media technologies while efficiently managing customer information systems and marketing technologies.
Tomoo holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Kyoto University. He is a member of the Japan Newspaper Publishers and Editors Association and actively contributes to evolving their Information Technology committees.
