Emma Schepers
Emma Schepers is an accomplished theoretical physicist turned venture capitalist, with a deep-seated fascination in the Quantum Technology realm. Her career spans across the Netherlands, the United States, and Switzerland. Schepers' educational accomplishments include a Physics major from the University of Amsterdam, a Bachelor's degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics from Northeastern University, and a Master of Science from ETH Zürich.
Schepers is presently a Senior Investment Associate at Verve Ventures, where she focuses on early-stage technology investments. Her responsibilities center around carrying out investments in the Benelux and Quantum Technology domains. In her previous role as an Investment Analyst and a part of the investment team, Schepers was actively involved in sourcing, evaluating and executing numerous transactions. Additionally, Schepers has also served as a research assistant at ETH Zürich, Chair of Macroeconomics, and as an academic tutor at Huiswerkinstituut Orbit.
She has also made significant contributions as a teacher at the University of Amsterdam, as a penningmeester at Interdisciplinair Congres Amsterdam, and as a general member of the Audit Committee Student Association Spectrum. Beyond her professional obligations, Schepers has been a Beachvolleybaltrainster at Universitair Sport Centrum Amsterdam and is a former member of the Studiereis commissie 2015.
