Jai Somasekharan, an accomplished telecommunications expert with a strong record of breaking into new markets and exceeding sales targets, currently leads the procurement strategy for Zoom Video Communications. Prior to his current role, he was the Head of Business Development for BT's Global division, where he worked with high-growth cloud service providers and global tech and telecom companies to offer BT products and services. Before that, he was a strategy consultant and program manager for six years, advising clients in the telecoms, media, and technology industries on IT strategy and software quality assurance. Jai studied Industrial Engineering at College of Engineering, Trivandrum, and earned an MBA with distinction from Manchester Business School, where he executed several strategy consulting projects for financial services, retail, and non-profit sectors.
