Jean-Laurent Casanova
Dr. Jean-Laurent Casanova is a distinguished researcher and educator in the field of pediatrics and immunology.
He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Paris Descartes University and his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in immunology from Universit\u00e9 Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris.
Dr. Casanova co-founded and co-directed the Laboratory of Human Genetics of Infectious Diseases at Necker Medical School in Paris, where he served as a professor of pediatrics.
He has received numerous prestigious awards recognizing his contributions to science and medicine, including the Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigator appointment.
Dr. Casanova's work has been acknowledged with awards such as the Robert Koch Prize, the Sanofi \u2013 Institut Pasteur Award, and the ASCI Stanley J. Korsmeyer Award, among others.
