Donna Lasinski

Donna Lasinski is a dedicated public servant representing the 52nd House District in Michigan, with a focus on serving over 90,000 residents in Washtenaw County. Elected in 2016, she brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role.

Before entering public service, Ms. Lasinski founded ThinkStretch LLC, a renowned summer skill retention program for elementary students. Drawing on her background in management consulting and non-profit leadership, she recognized the impact of summer learning loss on the achievement gap in elementary schools.

The ThinkStretch Summer Learning Program offers a comprehensive take-home workbook initiative that engages teachers, parents, and students to combat knowledge regression over the summer break. Aligned with state standards and shaped by extensive research with stakeholders, the program has been adopted by numerous elementary students nationwide.

Ms. Lasinski's specialties include business strategic management consulting, non-profit management, and education innovation. Her educational background includes a BBA in Marketing, Finance, and Organizational Behavior from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, as well as an MBA in Marketing, Finance, and Organizational Behavior from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management.
