Co-designer of the DevicePilot product; responsible for the majority of the server-side and backend implementation as well as various other parts of the system, including performance testing and tools work.

Lead engineer on several consultancy projects including a reference 6LoWPAN to IPv4 gateway with several delivery stages (all delivered to schedule) for a major silicon provider, as well as a custom firmware delivery system (client and server-side, including safety systems such as rollback) for another high-profile firm.

Also responsible for the creation and implementation of 1248’s engineering processes and best practices. Various internal tools works, such as source repository and bug tracking integration, build  processes and testing system. Also wrote the coding standards guidelines.

Initial bluesky R&D work on the service that has become DevicePilot.

Worked on various additions for, and maintenance to, the Ekioh SVG browser.

This included implementing HTML5 standards such as WebStorage, WebSQL and Canvas, as well as specific SVG specification features such as graphical filters.

Worked on various aspects of the porting layer, as well as customer facing support work such as debugging platform issues.

Designed and implemented a toolsuite (written primarily in Java and using Antlr) for parsing WebIDL to generate C++ code for the Ekioh browser.

Responsible for several other tools including the integration hooks between source repo and bug tracking system.

Designed a significant portion of Frontier’s Internet Radio and Connected Audio framework.

This included the core control system for communication to different audio services such as Last.fm,  Pandora and DLNA protocols.

Attended several DLNA plugfests to ensure the framework interacted correctly with other manufacturers DLNA certified products.

Also spent time on engineering processes.
