Caroline Whelan is a mechanical engineer and product design expert with a diverse and impressive background. She studied mechanical engineering with a mechatronics concentration at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, and also demonstrated her passion for the outdoors as a backpacking and outdoors guide with Cal Poly Associated Students, Inc. At Amazon Lab126, Whelan serves as a product design engineer, and has previously held roles as a mechanical engineering design intern for production at SpaceX and a product design development engineering intern for soft goods at Apple. She has also interned as a mechanical engineer at Neal Feay Company and conducted research at UCSB Institute for Collaborative Biotechnologies. Whelan has extensive experience in CAD design, machining, and mentorship through her work with FIRST Robotics Team 1717 and as a presentations leader for the Dos Pueblos Engineering Academy Foundation.
