Amanda Mejia

Amanda Mejia is an esteemed Assistant Professor of Statistics at Indiana University, a former Intern at the Kennedy Krieger Institute's Laboratory for Neurodevelopmental & Imaging Research, and a doctoral graduate from the prestigious Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. With a primary focus on developing statistical methodologies for neuroimaging, Amanda is an expert in functional connectivity and is particularly interested in Resting-State fMRI.

Before pursuing academia, Amanda completed a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. She also received a Graduate Research Fellowship from the National Science Foundation and worked as a Risk Analyst at CarMax before transitioning into her passion for statistical research.

Amanda's dedication and expertise make her an invaluable member of the Indiana University community, where she regularly shares her knowledge with students and colleagues alike. She has also previously volunteered with organizations like Filter Pure and SAFE Water Now, proving her dedication to giving back to the community and making a positive impact wherever she goes.
