Phill Branch is a multi-talented storyteller with a passion for discussing identity and culture through various mediums. He began his career as an Account Executive at Rogers & Cowan before transitioning to the film industry. With a Bachelor's in Mass Media Arts, Broadcast Journalism from Hampton University and an MFA in Screenwriting from The American Film Institute, Phill honed his skills and became a Moth GrandSlam Champion and a Maryland State Arts Council's Theater Solo Performance Awardee.

Through his work, Phill produced and directed the award-winning documentary, Searching for Shaniqua, exploring how names impact our lives. He currently produces and hosts a storytelling podcast, Isolation be Like, delving into identity and culture. As a Visiting Professor of Communication and Media Studies at Goucher College and former Assistant Professor of English and Cinema Studies at Hampton University, Phill has shared his expertise on race and ethnicity in film and media.

Phill's professional experience spans across various organizations such as Capitol Hill Arts Workshop, United States Naval Academy, and Howard University, where he served as a faculty member. Additionally, he was involved with Written Magazine as a columnist, The PuNanny Diaries as a producer/writer, and Set Resources as the Vice President.
